    Training materials, software, books and other resources intended to enhance teachers’ professional development

  • Health and Wellbeing

    RSE teaching materials, safeguarding solutions, guidebooks and other resources that can supplement a school’s provision of mental health and wellbeing support

  • Free Resource

    Print and electronic resources that are available to secondary schools entirely free of charge, other than for P&P (excludes any time-limited offers)

  • Edtech and Software

    Physical devices, peripherals and software solutions that can facilitate learning; this category also includes apps for iOS or Android that function as self-contained resources in themselves, or as interfaces for school-wide systems and online platforms

  • Administration & Finance

    Products and services designed to address non-curricular, whole school needs in areas such as student administration, IT and finance

Assessment Criteria

The judges will assess resources by looking at their:
  • Suitability and Adaptability

    Is the resource appropriate for the intended learners? Can teachers easily adapt it to suit specific educational needs and settings?

  • Originality and Innovation

    How unique and innovative is the resource? Does it offer something new or significantly different from existing options?

  • Educational impact

    How effectively does the resource support learning, development and improved educational practices or outcomes?

  • Value for Money

    Does the benefit of the resource justify its cost? For free resources, is it worth the time and effort required for implementation?

  • Durability (if applicable)

    How well does the resource withstand regular use in busy educational settings?

  • Ease of Use and Accessibility

    How user-friendly is the resource for educators with varying levels of expertise?

  • Environmental Impact (if applicable)

    What is the environmental impact of the resource in terms of production, use and disposal? Does it promote sustainability, reduce waste or have a minimal carbon footprint?
